Sarah Flood was elected onto the committee at the AGM.Sarah also picked up the reward for the Most improved rider. Máirtín Mullooly and Grace Nolan were " Club people of the Year", while Angie McStay and Irene Hurley collected the "Achievement of the Year " award.
Angie Mc Stay was first in the Inter. at the National One Day Event. Angie had a busy weekend as she was also in charge of stabling for the Nationals.
Irene Hurley added to her long list of wins when she was second in AP at the National One Day Event,she was also on the South Eastern Region team that was placed second.
Irene Hurley won the AP combined training at the National Dressage Championships in Kilcooley Abbey recently.
Congratulations to our Chairman ,Alan Cope and his wife Fin. on the birth of their baby girl.
Annette Walshe was 2nd in Inter. at the Waterford ODE. Niall Mc Donald,riding Dingle won the inter. section at the Carne ODE-without having to do any cross country!!
Ruth Kirwan(AP) was third in the Annaharvey ODE and sixth in Broomfield.
Irene Hurley won the Advanced Primary dressage at the Shelmalier summer show.She also came sixth!!She was also placed 2nd in the Bogtrotters ODE.
Angie McStay,riding Velvet,,was third in inter s/j following a jump-off and first in inter dressage at the Woodstown R.C. show.The same combination also captured first in inter. dressage and fifth in inter. show-jumping at the Shelmalier Summer points show.
Gill Browne represented us on the race track in Fairyhouse when she rode in the MS Charity sweepstakes.
Mary Lynch was fourth in inter dressage at the Seaview show recently,riding Shanagolden.
Well done to Tony Gillespie,first out of the hat,who got to ride Gisela Holstein's beautiful black stallion, George, at one of her recent clinics. Tony executed beautiful piaffe movements-with a little help from George!
Well done also to Annette Walshe ,riding Supreme Missy who was second in inter. dressage in Warrington.
The club would like to say thanks to Jimmy Fenelon for giving us some excellent show-jumping lessons in April.Hopefully we will be able to put them into practice over the summer!!
Congratulations to Elaine Fennell on her excellent win at inter. showjumping in the Thomastown Riding Club Spring Show,riding Storm, and to Irene Hurley who was third in the advanced primary section of Killoteran riding Club's winter league.
